Steam have actually got their own 'controller emulator' built-in now, which is better because it works on Unity games too. When I have Steam open it still seems to be active even in non-Steam games that I haven't added to my library, which causes conflicts with xce.
At some point I'll look into if you can therefore just replace xce with always having Steam running, but for the time being I'm happy enough just closing Steam when I'm using non-Steam games. Hopefully you can get something to work like that. Originally posted by pocico :. If that doesn't work maybe you can google: ps3 remote steam or something similar. Or someone else can help you out. Good luck. If you don't use windows then we'll have to try something else. Last edited by pocico ; 16 Jan, am. Sorry if I'm being a dumb-dumb, but by remote do you mean controller? At this point I can confirm that XCE is obsolete.
Pretty much any directinput controller can now mimic xinput in almost all games. The only trouble I've had recently has been with non-Steam games that start from a desktop launcher. It's also possible to turn off emulation completely for the desktop and those particular non-steam games which will more than likely accept directinput anyway.
