Still, these are tiny complaints. This is one of the most concise and easy to read and understand! This book contains A LOT of errors. Many of them are just simple spelling mistakes, which is totally fine, but still makes me wonder if it was proof read properly. For example, on page maybe , it says correctWordLabel. This will not work!!! Anyways, Apple you should update this book to provide a way for us to detect errors and notify you of them quickly.
Something like that. Let's get one thing straight This resource is invaluable. And wonderfully, I repeat, wonderfully put together. I am a senior in college with experience in programming and this textbook is clearer than most. I think a lot of the complaints about the book are valid, there are some editing issues and a one time the provided code used some antiquated functions or predefined variables which is really problematic for someone new but I was able to fix without experience in swift.
If you get some weird error like this don't sweat it and move on. You'll rarely understand everything the first time anyway, so when you see it later it will make more sense. If there is someone that could help me with that I am sure having access to those would make the program more appealing.
